Merry Kissmas!

We spent Christmas in Arizona this year and oh, what fun it was! It would have been my first Christmas away from my parents (gasp!) but my parents made the trek to Gilbert to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day with the us and the Rosenhans.

We were total losers this year and didn't bother putting a tree up so we stole Damon and Shannon's tree for a photo op.

(Don't ask what my camera did to this picture. I almost asked Santa for an slr this Christmas, but decided we had more important fish to fry. Maybe I'll ask the birthday fairy...)

Clearly, there was a lot of kissing going on this Christmas. There was also a lot of eating. A LOT. I promised myself I wouldn't wreck my diet but alas, the pull of homemade caramel corn and Oregano's pizookie was too strong for me.

Speaking of Oregano's, I was so happy to hang out with my favorite girlfriends. Can you believe it had been six whole months since we'd been home? If I gave you a recap of our dinner conversation, I just might die of embarrassment but suffice it to say, we have fun when we get together.

It was so nice to spend a week in Arizona and have plenty of time to see everyone. Cameron and Shannon stayed with us at Margaret's house and it seriously was like a week-long slumber party. We played Rummi-Kub, watched Christmas movies, shopped, wrapped presents, and ate yummy treats all day long. We also loved hanging with Damon and Shannon, Sabrina and Allyn, and all the nieces and nephews. It was the perfect week. I am so lucky to have such good in-laws and it was doubly fun to have my parents with us too. The Rosenhans were so welcoming to them and we had so much fun playing Trivial Pursuit (the old people, my mom, dad, and Margaret tried to cheat but Sabrina and Al took them down;) and of course, eating.

I am so lame and hardly took any pictures. Boo on me. See? I do need an slr! In the meantime, I'm hoping one of the sil's will post some pics and I can lift them :)
