I don't want no scrub!

I love this quote from President Hinckley. It is from a November 1998 BYU devotional titled, "The Quest for Excellence."

"This is the great day of preparation for each of you. It is the time of beginning for something that will go on for as long as you live. I plead with you: Don’t be a scrub! Rise to the high ground of excellence. You can do it. You may not be a genius. You may be lacking in some skills. But you can do better than you are now doing. You are people with a present and with a future. Don’t muff the ball. Be excellent. "

I love how he says not to be a scrub! So funny! The part about being able to do better than you are now doing really stood out to me. I have become a scrub! Oh no! It really made me think about all the things I can be doing better from scripture reading and service to even being a better teacher to my students and a better friend/daughter to my friends and family.

That is an awesome quote! You don't need no scrub and I know you will get the best! You and Jaimi both deserve it and will get it!
