We're ENGAGED!!!
I'm so, so, so, so happy! Preston is the best ever. I can't even believe I get to marry him. I am dying for my friends to meet him who haven't yet. I just know you will love him as much as I do. I really mean it when I say he was well worth the wait. We keep saying that we're best buddies and we really are. I love him!
Preston kept the whole proposal a complete surprise! I had NO idea it was coming! He didn't even tell any of his family other than his mom. When he pulled out the ring, I almost DIED. I couldn't even believe it! According to him my only response was, "Are you kidding me? Are you KIDDING me??" How eloquent am I, huh? He said I didn't answer for five minutes! (How I wish for a do-over!) He even said he had to close the ring box because I kept hugging him instead of putting the ring on and it was flailing around behind his back. Again, I am the picture of poise.
I LOVE my ring! It's actually the ring Preston's dad gave his mom. It's so special to me. I wish I could express how happy I am and how much I love him. I just wish everyone knew him like I do!! He really is the most amazing person ever.
We're still trying to coordinate with our families to narrow down an exact date, but it looks like the end of July. EXCITING!!! I can't wait! It will be so fun to be married! And, I get to move to California! Tell me that's not meant to be ;) I had to tell my principal today that I won't be coming back next year (for obvious reasons) and while I was a tiny bit bummed because I adore my school, I would so much rather be married to P!

I have been waiting for this post! I am SO happy for you. Jon and I keep talking about it and keep saying how much fun you guys are going to have being married. It really is the best ever! I love hearing you say that you guys are best friends because that makes it all the more better! I can't wait for our dinner to hear every last detail! I love you guys! Congrats! Oh, and the fact that he gave you the ring his dad gave him mom made me cry. Love you!

Congratulations! I have been debating wether to leave a comment - since I don't personally know you but I have been reading your blog for probably the last year. Your joy of life is awesome & contagious. I hope you keep the blog going but if not it certainly will be understandable!
