I saw some wooden name banners on Etsy that I loved but since I am the world's biggest cheapskate, I was nowhere near willing to shell out $72 a piece for them. (A piece!!) I figured I could DIY them on the cheap. Enter some basal wood, acrylic paint, twine, cardstock, and a Silhouette and voila!
Mine aren't nearly as cute as the Etsy versions but I think my total came to $12 for both banners. Can't beat that. They're hanging above the boys' cribs in the nursery.
