Oh my heck, we went to Utah!

We went to Utah in September for Caroline's, our new niece, blessing and can I just say, I am obsessed with Utah now. Branden and Tiffany recently moved back to Salt Lake and I was (not so) secretly excited for a reason to make a trip back to Zion. I have only been back to visit TWICE since I graduated from BYU and, trust me, it's been a while since my days of being a Zoobie.

This is me being excited to arrive in the promised land.

This is someone else who was not as excited to arrive in the promised land.

I had three requests (ok, demands) before we started our trek to the Beehive State. (Of course they were all food related.) First, Gandalfo's in Provo. Second, chocolate covered cinnamon bears. Third, Sconecutter. The last one makes me white trash, I know.

The fulfillment of a five year dream...

In case, you were wondering, Preston also hates BYU. I, on the other hand, love BYU and vow to send all of our children there. In fact, I will bring them home from the hospital in BYU onesies. Take that, Rosenhan!

All of Preston's family (minus Cam and Shan, which I'm still upset about!) made the trip out to Utah for the blessing too. It was really fun having everyone all together. We went to Temple Square, hiking at Solitude, and little Ellie's second birthday party. Tiff was the perfect hostess planning activities for all of us!

On our way home I was all kinds of fired up to hit Sconecutter in St. George and to my horror, it was closed. Permanently. TRAGEDY. So we decided to try Five Guys because an HB location opened less than a mile from our house and we wanted to know what all the hype was about. I am happy to report it's not hype. It's amazing. Quite possibly, the highlight of our trip. Other than the chocolate covered cinnamon bears I found at Harmon's. Ha! Two out of three demands isn't bad, I guess.

It's official. I heart Utah. I especially heart Branden and Tiffany's house. It's insanely cute. They live on a street right out of a movie set and their house is perfect. I have to keep reminding myself that it snows in Utah and that's why I left so I don't start packing our bags and try to move to the land of milk and honey.

Chocolate covered cinnamon bears... those will be my last food when I die. Do you have Winco? Literally, we drove 40 minutes to buy them in bulk.
