I really shouldn't accept friend requests from former students, even if they are currently in high school.
Why, you ask? Because this beauty was posted to my wall and oh, the comments it has already garnered. Seems my sweet former student, plucked this picture from an old fb album (where, let's be honest, it should have remained in obscurity forever) and doctored it up oh so nicely before crowning me, "Best Teacher Ever." Pretty sure the "Best Teacher Ever" would not have dressed like a slightly scandalous pilot for Halloween
I will be spending the remainder of the night deleting pictures from my fb account.
(And just so you know. the humor of this situation was not lost on me. I literally laughed out loud when I saw it.)

What you do is make a list called STUDENTS and then put any former students on there. Then you set the privacy settings so that no one on your STUDENT list can see anything, except maybe your profile pictures.
I have a list like that for FAMILY just in case I make a status update or post a pic I'm not comfortable with them seeing.
