Let's talk about the things I love.
1. Preston. What a difference a year makes, don't you think? This time last year, Preston and I hadn't seen each other in 7 weeks. True story. He called and asked if he could come to Arizona and take me out on Valentine's day. I agreed and then agonized over what to wear for a week! The night of, Jaimi hid in front of my bedroom window watching for him to pull into the driveway while I paced. When she whispered, "He's wearing a blazer!" I knew it was all over. He layed it on thick. It worked. I was miserable without him! Now, we're married and I love it. I love him. He is my best friend in the world. I miss him when I'm at work and I miss him when I'm hanging out with friends. Heavenly Father loves me.
2. My parents. I have the best parents. They love me so much. I hope my own children always know they're loved the way I did growing up. They would do anything for us. Oh, and hilarious? Heck yeah. Where did you think I got it from?
3. Preston's family. I really lucked out. BIG TIME. I have freaking awesome in-laws. I've never had siblings so I love having brothers and sisters. And, to top it off, I have the best mother-in-law! She's sassy, she seriously loves us, and she takes care of me like my own mom.
4. My friends. I have the best girlfriends in the world. I am so lucky to have a close group of girlfriends that love me and know me better than I know myself. Being an only child living thousands of miles from my parents, they've been more like family than friends to me.
5. Huntington Beach. I call it my shire. It's so cute and quaint and I feel safe in my shire. Big, bad L.A. scares me. I prefer my little beach town. Speaking of the beach, it doesn't get better than living two blocks from it. It also doesn't get better than riding my hot pink bike along said beach.
6. Diet Cherry 7-Up. In my quest to give up caffeine, you have been my savior. As good as Coke Zero? Nuh uh. But it helps me get my fix.
7. American Idol. So glad you're back. Not so glad to see Ellen but I'll get over it because of the sheer joy I feel just hearing the theme music play.
8. The Office. Every single episode makes me laugh. Without fail. Love Thursdays.
9. Young Women. I heart my calling. Being in YW is a party, let's be honest. The girls are so cute. I want to be just like them. I'm a little confused as to why none of them are having the awkward years like I did though. They're so good and strong and I love being around them. Not to mention, getting a "You look cute today," from one of the YW is like hearing it from Tim Gunn, himself. They're stylin.
10. Last, but obviously not least, Heavenly Father. Boy, oh boy, have we been watched over for the last seven months. Scratch that, for the last year. We are blessed beyond belief. I am blessed beyond belief.
