It's a hit!

Impressed? We're celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday again this year with Read Across America week and since my class is always into Idol (go figure!) we went with an Idol theme.

The kids colored pictures of rockers and then I took a picture of each of them making "singing" faces that we cut out on stuck on their little cartoon bodies. Each little character is singing the title of their favorite book. They look hilarious! If you look closely, my principal's head is on Paula Abdul's body and I am being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest. My principal is so fun and loves American Idol so the kids were dying for her to see our door.

The door was a total hit today and the kids were so excited. People kept calling, emailing, and knocking on our door to tell us they loved it and the kids were so pround of themselves. They're so cute!

P.S. I had to relinquish control and let the kids do some of it, hence the crooked lettering :)
