We had just walked in and went straight to the bathing suit section when this weird lady started running around the clothing racks mumbling in broken English about her cell phone case. I really didn't think anything of it (the bathing suits were 30% off!) and continued looking around. We were probably in that section trying clothes on over the top of our clothes for 15 minutes and the entire time the crazy lady was crawling around on the floor looking for some phone case. Another lady offered to call the number for her to help her find it but the weird lady was seriously talking complete jibberish and no one could rally understand what she was talking about. A few minutes later, crazy lady drags the Target security guard over and while he was trying to be helpful, all the crazy lady could tell him was that she dropped some cell phone case with id's in it somewhere in that section and now it was gone. This poor guard was so patient with crazy lady and crawled around on the floor with her to pacify her but she was insistent that someone stole it from her.
All of a sudden, I looked over and crazy lady was pointing at ME! She was seriously telling the security guard that I stole her case!! I walked over to her and the security guard and said, "You can look in my purse. I promise I don't have anything that belongs to her!" Poor security man just said, "It's fine, It's fine. I don't need to see your purse."
So then, crazy lady decided JAIMI stole her case and CALLS THE POLICE!!!! She was truly following us around the store giving the police Jaimi's description!!! Our favorite part was that she told the police she didn't know what ethnicity Jaimi was but she thought she was about 22. Alright!!
I would like to say that I had compassion on the crazy lady understanding that she was crazy and walked away from the situation but, unfortunately, if you know me, you know I can be a tad on the feisty side and I FREAKED OUT on this lady!! It was so funny now that I think about it. I merely pointed out that if we stole something from her, would hang around the scene of the crime for 15 minutes and offer to show her our purses? But I may also have also called her insane....not one of my proudest moments ;) She then complained to the police on the phone that I was yelling at her so the security guard told us to split up! So funny! Then as we were following his orders, she told the police we were running away!
Five minutes later, the Mesa Police really showed up! The cop was really cool and super hot actually, and said, "Why ya gotta steal a crazy lady's stuff?" Funny. It was pretty funny actually. We laughed and he sent us on our merry way.
I'm actually surprised this happened at Target, this is the stuff Walmart stories are made of!

One might think that you are making this stuff up, but for some odd reason, this could only happen to you Hil! That post was freakin' hilarious! Congratulations in joining the ranks of your fellow celebrity criminals!!! I've never been so proud of a past roommate!
Whoa!!!! What Target did you go to? Sounds like something that would happen on my side of town:) When do you come back from the ATL?
