Last weekend Jaimi, Karli, and I went to California (again) and had the best time!! I seriously love it there. Every night I watch TMZ and think how much I belong in L.A.! It is so exciting! It has a completely different energy. Not to mention, there are chandeliers hanging over Rodeo Drive!!
We did so many fun things while we were in L.A. like the Beverly Center where we barely missed shirtless "Hunky Santa," Sprinkles cupcakes (the banana was the best!), hanging out at a finishing house in the middle of the night where movies are edited, Mel's Diner, Canter's Deli, a party in Pasadena, and another party in Huntington where I won a very important bet and humiliated myself all in one fell swoop! (Wanna shake hands, anyone??)
The absolute best part of the weekend and possibly of my life though was EATING AT THE IVY!!! ON THE PATIO!! That's right! The same Ivy where Ben and J.Lo dined after breaking their engagement and Paris made her first public appearance after a certain tape was leaked ;) It was seriously AWESOME!! Jaimi, Scott, and I were hanging out on Robertson looking for celebrities when we caught paparazzi (Ok, our friend Scott actually spotted the paparazzi and came to tell us with such urgency I wanted to die laughing!) taking pictures of Robin Antin, the Pussycat Dolls creator (we followed her into Lisa Kline!) and soon after noticed Shanna Moakler was standing right next to us in Kitson! There were photogs outside the store with their cameras prssed up against the window and everything...surreal! We followed Shanna to the Ivy and (thank goodness Scott is so brave) totally got a table...and on the patio!! We sat right up against the little white picket fence and the paparazzi were right behind us with their cameras trying to catch Shanna. The food was not bad like I usually hear people complain about. Expensive, yes, but definitely decent. Seriously, they could have served me dog food. I wouldn't have cared. OMG! It's the IVY!!!! As Shanna was leaving, we asked her to take a picture with us and she was totally nice and obliged. A few minutes later we saw Gummibear leaving the Ivy and as he was waiting for his car to be valet'd, he took a picture with us too. I mentioned Perez HIlton because they have that ongoing feud and he had a few choice words for Perez. Something about him burning in you know where. That guy is crazy!
As we were about to leave the Ivy we saw paparazzi runnning across the street so we totally followed them to Kitson Kids. The cameras are not allowed inside so they were all clamoring all over themselves to get to the window again. You'll never believe who was inside...Kate Beckinsale! We totally walked into the store like we owned the place (ok, maybe not quite like that) and shopped right along side her. She looked like a total movie star and she was absolutely beautiful in person. It was so cool!! It even made TMZ on Monday!
I am still giddy from our super fun weekend. I really wish I could go to L.A. every weekend! Too bad it's so exensive, I would love to live there. For now, I'll have to pretend I'm shopping on Robertson and dining with the stars ....

okay, if i didn't love being married and holly's mom i would be soooo crying in bed that i missed this fun weekend! maybe sometime this old hag can tag along! i miss my LA trips!!!! sounds so fun!! keep going...and keep star celeb stalking...the stories are so fun for me!!!
remember when we went to mel's diner and took a pic with Suge Night and he got shot at like two days later?? LA is so great!!!
