"Can you believe we live here?!"

"Can you believe we live here?!" I think one of us repeats that exact sentence every single day. We love Orange County!

We planned on doing a nice 4-mile hike this morning because I love hiking and haven't been since we left Arizona. I did my research and found a review of Moro Canyon in Crystal Cove. The reviewer called the hike "moderate" and CLAIMED the hike was 3.9 miles. Perfect! Except the reviewer failed to mention it was a STEEP 3.9 miles up AND back and my lazy butt hadn't hiked in more than three months. (I'm going to find this man if it's the last thing I do!) So yes, we hiked over 8 miles when it was all said and done. My hip flexors are still recovering.

But holy beautiful! Scenic does not even begin to describe this trail. Since Preston was nice enough to carry all my stuff (my water, camera, and even my leopard print hoodie-what a good husband!) I was constantly bugging him to get my camera out so I could take pictures. He got over that real quick!

This was seriously our view from part of the trail. Can you believe that?! This is my kind of hiking!
