When we visited Shannon and Cameron this weekend I caught a serious bug. I want to sew. I don't even know how to thread a needle (is that even the proper terminology?) but after seeing all these cute things Shannon has been sewing, I am determined to learn! Who am I and what happened to Hilarry?
Shannon had the cutest pillow on her chair and it made me so happy just looking at it. I had to know where she bought it. Imagine my disappointment when she told me she made it! Booooo. I need to learn to sew. I have been looking at fabric online ALL morning. Check. It. Out. This is Heather Bailey...
And look how cute this Amy Butler pattern is! Great. I want to make these too (but with brighter colors.) Grr.
I have been searching for a sewing class to take locally and all I have found is a class for 14-18 year olds at a community center. I wonder if they'll let me in. I watch all the same tv shows as a 14-18 year old anyway. And let's be honest, we probably shop at the same stores. I'm off to plead my case...

i have been feeling the same way! i see people making their own window coverings and pillows and baby bedding and I want to!! Let's try to figure out how we can learn! Operation Martha here we come!
I like the sounds of this. And I LOVE those silhouettes. Did it say free pattern... I need to have that. Ok, we are getting together and I will bring my sewing machine. I know how to thread it and sew straight lines. That's all you need {and if you need more then that you have to buy it, sorry}. Let me know if you get in :)
OMG and seriously I have been feeling the same way!!!!!!! Sewing is so not me but I just wish I could! I saw the cutest pillows on this girls blog that she sewed and then I was looking at the Blissful Living Studio blog and I thought man I wish I could at least pretend to know how to sew. But I don't want to buy a sewing machine because surely it would go to waste after I realize that I am not domestic at all!!!!
You can do it! It's seriously so easy...if you have any questions...you know where to find me.
Best of luck on your quilting adventure! My mother-in-law is a quilting pro--and I tried it a few times. Very fun! Make sure to post pictures of your projects!
