First Movie!

Milestone alert! D and D went to their first movie! They are beyond obsessed with the Cars movie (Daggum is a part of both of their vocabularies and Dex's new favorite saying is "Sexy hot rod!") so we showed them the Planes trailer and it was all over after that. They seriously make me show them the trailer on my phone at least 10 times a day. I even downloaded the instrumental song from the trailer and they make me play it for them over and over and over. "More planes! More planes!"

Preston was especially so excited to take the boys to see Planes. They wore their Dusty Crophopper shirts, ate popcorn and sour patch kids, and had the best time. I couldn't believe they sat through all but 10 minutes of the movie! Granted, we sat behind the handicapped row so the rail was right in front of us and they were able to stand when they wanted to but they still did great! It was so funny to see them digging for popcorn in their bags and watching a flick! I can't lie. I shed a tear or two in the theater watching my big boys have such a good time. Growing up is so bitter sweet. I panic when I look at them and see their babyness slipping away but it's so fun to see their personalities developing. They're a blast to hang out with. We laugh all day. There is no one I'd rather spend my days with than my three favorite dudes.

Sea World!

We went to Sea World back in May for my birthday and a one-day admission includes a pass for the rest of the year. How awesome is that? You better believe we're taking advantage of that. Preston's work schedule usually means he has a day off during the week so we like to take advantage of him being home on a weekday and do something fun. We love Sea World. We can get there in 45 minutes and the boys can basically do everything there. Double win!

I love Dex's face watching Shamu swim by! They were chasing him up and down the tank.

Davis's favorite part of the shows is clapping and yelling, "Wooooo!" I don't think he cares that there is a show going on. He also likes sharing snacks with random kids in front of us. He was trading cheez-its for fruit snacks. Smart kid.

We were so excited when the Madetzkes texted us and said they were in town and on their way to sea world! What a happy accident! Hayden was in my very first 5th grade class and now she's in college!! The Madetzkes are like family to us. Hayden and her cute friends were a hit with the boys. They were pulling out all the stops to impress the girls!

Keeping Up With the Rosenhans

The purpose of this post is to just to keep up with my blog. And show you how cute D and D are. By "you" I obviously mean Preston since he's the only one left who sill reads my poor, abandoned blog. Sad, sad little blog.

The boys had their second ice cream cone today. It was a hit. Especially with Davis who sorta ate/snorted his. I was truly wiping ice cream out of his nostrils. When I asked him if mommy could have a bite he looked at me like I was from another planet and said, "No." Dex kept repeating, "Yummy ice cream," in between bites.

I'm really feeling like this post is super awkward. Maybe keeping up with my blog isn't such a great idea.

Reunited with the Browns!

The boys finally got to meet Aunt Katie when she and the kids came to visit last week! Reunited at last! Jaimi and I took the boys to San Juan Capistranto to meet Katie and Carrie and all the kids at Zoomars, this super cute little petting zoo. I had never been to SJC before and I was in love. It is such an adorable little town.

We had the best day being all together! The kids had so much fun at the petting zoo and we had so much fun at the Mexican restaurant eating chips and salsa and drinking diet coke after!

I was seriously so happy to see Katie. There is something about old friends that is so comforting. I love that we have been friends through dating, marriage, and now kids. Katie is my favorite person to talk to about being a mom. She has a way of making me feel so much better about myself! Love you, Katie! Come back NOW.

           Annie and Dexter's first kiss!

We told the hostess at the restaurant we had eight kids with us and I could see the fear in her eyes. They couldn't have possibly been better! We got to sit and chat for a full hour and a half without any crying! Serious miracle.

Playing catchup

My lack of blogging has gotten out on control. I am vowing to be better. This reminds me of scrapbooking in the 90's. You get so far behind that the thought of catching up is too overwhelming. So  forget it! I'm starting fresh.

My sweet boys are so much fun right now. Twenty-two months?! How did this happen? Davis and Dex are happy, spunky, hilarious, and so darn lovable. We are having so much fun swimming with them, going to splash pads, playing at the park, racing in the hallway after baths, watching Cars, having pizza on Friday nights, riding firetrucks down the driveway, going to Sonic, obsessing over cars, obsessing over blocks, reading books, singing songs, dancing, watching planes in the backyard, going to the beach, going to petting zoos, and going to Sea World. Dex is obsessed with his blanket, Doggy, Mommy, yogurt covered raisins (that he calls "Meh-Mehs,) the "set go" game, wearing Mommy and Daddy's shoes, and Sally from Cars. Davis is obsessed with Sonic cups (bad news,) the "Night Night" song, nursery, cars, cuddling, folding his arms to pray, basketball, splashing, and "cop corn."

These are just some random post-dinner playing in the yard pictures from last night.

This is Davis getting ready for "Ready, Set, Go!" He's an enthusiastic little racer.

Dex loves to walk in Daddy's shoes.

He'll wear Mommy's shoes too. He secure in his manhood.

Fathers Day 2013

These three make my world go round. Are they not the most handsome dudes you've ever seen? I will forever love this picture because Davis wouldn't part with the Dickey's cup (he seriously brought it with him to church and carried it to nursery,) and Dex wasn't giving up his car either. That's so them right now.

While we're on the topic of good looking dudes, that is one great dad right there. I knew Preston would be a good dad when I married him but I had no idea just how awesome he would be. He is seriously an incredible father. It's so fun to see how much he loves his boys. His world really does revolve around them. D and D have it so good with Preston as a dad! We love him!

Pool Days

Ok, so maybe I should change the title of this post to "inflatable" pool days. Details, details. D and D love water. They have sonar that allows them to locate any and all faucets. Or toilets. Yikes. They worship the splash pad but taking them by myself is a little dicey since they still like to run in opposite directions so I bought an inflatable pool. Surprise, they love it. I basically made all of their dreams come true. It has already provided hours of fun. Best five dollars I've ever spent!

We had an hour to kill before dinner last night and Preston was at work so the boys and I went in the backyard to hang out. (Not so) lucky for me, Dex has figured out how to turn on the hose. Enter Davis filling the pool all by himself and getting in fully clothed. (I promise they were totally supervised.) Gotta love self sufficient, easy to please boys!

Tom's Farms

Grandma Rosenhan was in town for Memorial Day weekend so we went to Tom's Farms again and we had such a good time! The boys love it! The attractions are so cheap and they have cute little restaurants overlooking the "lake." They even had a band playing on Memorial Day!
